Numeracy Assessments
NHS employed students who wish to undertake the NMP course (both V150 and V300 courses) need to pass a numeracy assessment before their Non-Medical Prescribing Lead can sign them off for Regional funding. (This does not apply to Self-funding students).
The NMP Lead for the organisation in which the prospective NMP works will nominate the candidate for an on-line numeracy assessment.
All candidates have to be numerate and the final examination on the NMP course has a numeracy component which candidates have to pass with a 100% pass mark. If prospective candidates have concerns about their numeracy, advice should be sought from their NMP Lead or the individual Universities.
